Ice baths

Description

The WBS Ice Bath is hugely beneficial for use after heavy training. The Ice Bath facilitates faster recovery and minimises the effects of injury.

Our ice baths come cladded in pressure treated tongue & groove timber which is gives a natural feel when when located in your garden. The tub itself is made from a strong Polyethylene UV Stabilised plastic. The handles on the side of the unit gives stability when entering and exiting the Ice Water Bath. The unique textured surface helps prevent slipping. There is a brass connector at the base on the bath for filling and draining. Its size suited for one large person to fit onto the tub and yet it only requires approximately 250Ltrs of water to fill which only takes 1 hour.

The effect is the following:

Cold exposure is a natural stressor, that delivers a net positive effect on your body. As an attempt to keep you warm, your heart rate and respiration increase, which enhances blood flow and oxygen delivery. At the same time reducing inflammation and pain, and boosting your focus and mood. This is also called endorphin rush and the reason for the rewarding feeling and the great mood.
